Existing Restaurant
Branding and Identity

As this is a joint project, we decided to start a Pinterest Board that we could both add to. We looked specifically at Japanese restaurant branding but also widen our scope to get a good idea of what restaurant branding can be.

Fortune Wok

Repeated patterns are used a lot in restaurant branding as it can be used on a number of different aspects of the restaurant. For example, the pattern can be applied to the website, the menu, interiors and more. It also helps to give a consistent look throughout the identity.

The menu has an accompanying slip that customers use to order their food. There are boxes next to each of the food options where the customers inputs the number of that dish that they desire. This is very typical of Japanese restaurants and so is something we will aim to include in our own branding.

Chinese Restaurant Branding

Consideration for interior details is important to bring together the branding and the restaurant itself.

'Bold yet Playful' Brand Identity

"The concept is centred around the restaurant's approach to take away, offering a premium and unique experience for its customers. The inspiration for the design was taken from Japanese culture."

"The take away box is packaging made entirely without glue. Inner drawers can easily mix with each other, depending on what the customer orders. The packaging is sealed with a simple sticker."
